Fandoms: Switch, Aphorism, Psyren, Samurai Drive, K – Memory of Red, Area D, Himegoto Asobi, Junketsu + Kareshi.

General likes/dislikes: Hurt/Comfort owns my heart. Anything angsty (as dark as you want to go, I don’t tend to have limits) with comfort undertones is definitely my poison, but anything at all around the characters below would be amazing. What I would really, really love is fic. I love gen and yaoi both equally, and all the pairings below can be written platonically or romantically. Anything non-fic related will also be loved unconditionally. The fandoms requested ARE tiny, so just someone to squee a little bit with would be fantastic!

Switch by Naked Ape: Anything Takei. Aaaanything Takei. I’ve only just gotten into this fandom recently, so the news that the series is starting up again has me especially excited. I’d love Takei and Shiba fic (slash or otherwise), or Takei and Shingo (because I am a sucker for hurt comfort). Samurai Drive: Makio is my favourite character, and I’d love something with him and Ren.

K – Memory of red: Eric centric. Maybe about his past? Fujishima/Eric would be love.

Area D: Anything Isobe centric. Maybe how he fits in with the main gangs, and in particular Kidou? Isobe is able to challenge him, and Kidou refers to him by his first name – do they have some kind of history? Of maybe something about Isobe and the doctor? Or a scene between Isobe and either Kazaragi or Kaito? There is just something so earnestly ‘younger brother’ about Isobe that I can see people taking him under their wing or leaving him to his own devices despite themselves.

Himegoto Asobi: anything a bit h/c about the main couple.

Junketsu + Kareshi: Aki x Jin. I adore Jin, he’s squishy.

It's that time of year again--the second eastasianfandomgiftbag! qem_chibati and I (terajk) are your mods this year!

What is eastasianfandomgiftbag, you ask? Well....(for those who played last year, most of this information will be familiar.)

This is a low-key wishlist-based exchange for East Asian fandoms of all types (anime, manga/manhua/manhwa, dramas, music, games, etc.). The way it works is pretty simple: Post a wishlist of your fandoms & some information about your preferences (characters, tropes, what types of fanworks you'd most enjoy, etc.). Tag your post with your fandoms so that other people can find them. Then go around & find some other wishes to fulfill & wait for someone to fulfill some of yours!

All East Asian fandoms are welcome, but please consider this a special invitation for those of you in small fandoms. Spread the word & maybe more of us can find each other!

There's one more day for wishlist fills. That's still lots of time for a drabble or an icon or two or a quick sketch, perhaps?

Sometime on February 1, I'll close the comm to new posts. Of course if people still want to keep posting fills to people's wishlists, I'm not going to stop you!

Thanks for playing, everyone (&, er, keep playing! One more day etc. etc.). I'd like to run this again at the end of the year, hopefully. I've gotten some really useful feedback as we've gone along, & I definitely have some things to keep in mind already for the future, but if there's anything else you'd suggest, please let me know -- comments will be screened to this post in case that makes it easier!

Hi everyone! We're a little less than 3.5 weeks from the end of January (? the month seems so loooong), & thus the end of the wishlist exchange.

It's hard to count precisely, but so far this comm has produced at least 11 fics, 25 icons, 2 song translations, 1 fanart, 4 macros, lots of screencaps, 1 mp3 download, tons of recs & a lot of squee. (Quantifying squee is difficult, heh.) :D That's really exciting!

Let's keep the wishlists & fills coming -- & please remember that if you post a wishlist, you are agreeing to try your very very hardest to fill at least one wish for someone else. I know a lot of folks were busy with holidays in December, & we've still got lots of time. I'm looking forward to seeing what else everyone comes up with! Thanks for playing along. ♥

Hi everyone -- just a quick mod check-in post. It's been fantastic to see all the fulfilled wishes we've had so far. Keep them coming, & keep the wishlists coming! We've got until the end of January, so there's still plenty of time. (I know I'm working on at least two more wishes myself...)

Also, thank you again for all the signal boosts. Letting people in your fandoms know increases the chances of fills for your wishes, so please keep it up!

Type of Fanworks: I adore all fanart (icons, drawbles, illustrations, wallpapers... though I use a netbook so my screen is tiny), fanfic (drabbles, stories, haiku, dirty limericks, sonnets...), fanvids, fanmixes, fanfood (If you make gingerbread cookies of characters, posting a picture would be fine; or if you have a recipe for Youkai Salad, also awesome), etc. Likewise pictures are great if you made a Yuki snowman or have a spot on your tortilla that looks just like mecha....

Hi everyone! I'm really excited to see wishlists (& fills!) popping up -- please keep them coming! & thank you for all the signal boosts so far. :D

I just wanted to say that I've changed my thoughts slightly on tags for the community -- originally I wanted to have tags contain both the original name of the fandom & a transliterated version, but this makes the tags too long for Dreamwidth's tag-length limit in many cases, which seems like it would hinder its utility.

So for now, at least, the fandom names will stay as you tag them (unless there's a typo or something, I mean: I've certainly already made a few myself). If the same fandom comes up multiple times, either transliterated differently, or someone tags using the original, I'll try to work out a way to accommodate it, but would welcome suggestions!

Thanks again for being here. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
